Kearen Featured on Google Developer Blog

If you're not familiar with Google Spreadsheets you should check it out. It's a web-based spreadsheet program that lets you create online spreadsheets that other people can edit and update - no more sending around attachments. We've been using it here at Kearen for a number of different applications.

On the development front, we've used the Google Spreadsheet API to let a Google Spreadsheet be a data source to our dashboard. With this integration, a dashboard designer now can simply go to our web site and design a dashboard using their Google Spreadsheet data and never install any software. When you update data in your Google Spreadsheet your dashboard will update automatically.

Google has featured our integration work on their Google Developer Blog which we're very excited about.

Kearen Integrated with Zoho Sheet

We now have a direct integration with Zoho Sheet. If you're not familiar with it, Zoho Sheet is a very cool application that lets you create spreadsheets online. With our hosted designer you can now create a spreadsheet app and a Flash dashboard without ever installing any software.

Go to the Zoho site and sign up for an account, put some data in a spreadsheet and from our designer just reference that sheet as a source to your dashboard. When you update your sheet your dashboard will automatically update with the latest data.

KearenDashboards on Mobile Devices

It's very cool - KearenDashboard now supports fully functional dashboards from any mobile device compatible with Adobe Flash Lite. Dashboards can either be accessed directly from the web or can be synced to the device. I've been trying this out of the last several months via the web and it has been working great. What's really cool is it's the same functionality as through the browser - alerts, drill down, filtering. Simply use our same designer and design for the size of the device.
